|Notes:||Wachesaw East Golf Course is a brand new addition to the prestigious Wachesaw Plantation in Murrells Inlet, SC. The course opened December 2, 1996 and was the site for the
1997 Susan G. Komen International LPGA golf tournament held April 17-20, 1997.Clyde Johnston's sister, Cathy Johnston-Forbes, an 11 year veteran of the Ladies Professional Golf Tour consulted on the design of the course. The inaugural event was won by Karrie Webb with Cathy Johnston-Forbes in a tie for second place.
The course has also hosted the nationally televised 1998 & 1999 City of Hope Myrtle Beach Classic LPGA tournament and the 2000 Kathy Ireland/Greens.Com Classic .
