Notes: Fort Mill's first nine holes was originally designed by Donald Ross in 1947 and opened in 1948. The back nine was added by George Cobb in 1959-1960.

The Ross nine holes, although renumbered when the back nine opened, remain in the same locations as originally designed. It is unknown if the course was otherwise built per Ross's plan. Some bunker locations were the same but many were missing and others added. A greens renovation in 1984 may have altered many of the green shapes and contouring.

The renovation took place in late spring and summer of 2008 and was built by Landscapes Unlimited of Lincoln, Nebraska. The course is owned and operated by Leroy Springs and Company.

The renovation work included the reconstruction of all tees, bunkers and greens and some minor drainage work. The The bunkers and greens on the Ross holes were restored per the original plans subject to current day grasses and mowing equipment.
